29. Happily married. A wanna-be foodie and wino. Love music and movies. Have PCOS. Want a baby. Love grammar, math, spread sheets, sarcasm, and wit. Kind of a hippie. Kind of conservative. Very much a Gemini.

I am very open and sometimes share too much. I try to be as honest and candid as possible.  I also have a bit of a potty mouth.

I have a weird relationship with my faith.  I am a fairly spiritual person but have a sour perception of organized religion.

This blog started out as my journal during our fertility struggles.  After 8 years of TTC, my husband and I finally got our BFP on 12/3/13.  Now that we’ve brought Miss Amelia home, I’ve started writing about our attempts to have the healthiest, happiest family possible.

I am also documenting my weight loss and journey to a healthy, PCOS-friendly lifestyle.  It’s been full of struggles but has been very rewarding.  I am 61.5 inches tall and started out at 237 lbs.  I need to hit 134 to be considered in the “normal” range for BMI.  My goal is 125 lbs.

Just noticing that your blog name is from my wedding song…have a tough time listening to it these days, but jazzed by the connection. Godd luck, and I hope to see good news coming from you to prove that song right!

  4. Hey! (Blogger from the former Dreaming of Rainbows, current Motherhood & Everything Else, here!) I and some other ladies across the globe have started a new blog called Rainbows and Unicorns: Parenting After Loss and Infertility. Next month is PCOS Awareness Month, so we are wondering if you are interested in writing a post for us on your unique perspective with PCOS and trying for your second baby? What you learned the first time, what has changed, how you’re feeling about it, how PCOS is impacting TTC #2, whatever! 🙂 I’ll post the main link to the site so you can have a poke around, as well as the direct submission link here for you in case you decide you would like to do it. 😀
